Tara Cottage - the ideal setting to explore the wonders and beauty of the Causeway Coast.
Offering a perfect chance to enjoy Northern Ireland at your own speed, in your own way.
After many holidays in Northern Ireland Trevor and I decided we would like to become involved in Tourism. This set us exploring the North West for a new home that had to be set in a quiet location, allowing Guests the opportunity to relax and have
easy access to the Causeway Coast and Antrim Glens.
We believe we have found this in Tara Cottage and set about furnishing it to the highest standards. As a result of our research, you can be assured of a very warm welcome in a beautiful, well presented home. We invite you now, to view more of Tara to see for yourself the luxury and comfort we have provided.
At no 4 Garrylaban Court.
Tara Cottage nestles in a small cul de sac. It is a residential, safe area with only the odd passing car going to one of the other homes
Here you can relax after a days sightseeing in the comfortable lounge. There is a 40 inch flat screen TV / DVD package providing a great variety of programs. The TV channels are piped into all three bedrooms and the kitchen, where there are also
flat screen TV's. The house has central heating but also there is a gas fire in the lounge and is especially cosy on the cooler winter breaks.
The kitchen area is large, open plan and includes the dining table and sofa sitting area. The bright and well-equipped kitchen provides you with all the features you would expect including a dishwasher and microwave oven. There is a standard fridge fitted with a further fridge freezer in the garage, which is great for storing the extra holiday drinks and food. Just off the kitchen is the utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.
The Master bedroom features a comfortable double bed with the en suite shower and toilet. The middle room has a single bed and the twin room two single beds. All are tastefully furnished with pine furniture and have TV’s. Electric under blankets are fitted which is again very cosy for the winter months should you wish to use them. Fresh bedclothes and towels are supplied and put on prior to your arrival. The main bathroom can be used by the guests in the twin and single rooms and has a walk in shower, bath and toilet.
The back garden is enclosed and features beautiful views over the open countryside. The only neighbours you will see are the herd of cows that often come to look in from the back fields. There is a lit patio area with comfortable table, chairs and gas bar-be-que.
There are eight golf courses no more than a 15 minute drive from Tara Cottage including world class courses such as Royal Portrush, Portstewart and Castlerock. There are a great number of fine restaurants within a few minutes drive from Tara. We
will be happy to give you advice on the many local restaurants.
In terms of sightseeing, Tara Cottage is set in a great location to explore the Causeway Coast and all it has to offer. Attractions include Giants Causeway, Bushmills Distillery, Dunluce Castle and "areas of outstanding natural beauty" such as the coastal drive and the Glens of Antrim.
Many of our beaches have achieved blue flag status including the nearby Portstewart. The nearest town is Coleraine which provides a variety of local and high street shops while Portstewart offers craft shops, art galleries, coffee houses etc.
