Portstewart Golf Course


There are eight golf courses no more than a 15 minute drive from Tara Cottage, including world class courses such as Royal Portrush, host of 2019 British Open event while Portstewart itself hosted the 2017 Irish Open.

Tara is perfect for golfers to play on the coast and stay in great accommodation.

Eating Out

There are a great number of fine restaurants, cafes and bars within a few minutes drive from Tara.

Many of our beaches have achieved blue flag status including the nearby Portstewart.

The nearest town is Coleraine which provides a variety of local and high street shops, while Portstewart offers craft shops, art galleries, coffee houses and more.


In terms of sightseeing, Tara Cottage is set in a great location to explore the Causeway Coast and all it has to offer.

Attractions include Giants Causeway, Bushmills Distillery, Dunluce Castle and "areas of outstanding natural beauty" such as the coastal drive and the Glens of Antrim.

For Game Of throne fans it is a great location to visit the numerous film locations such as Ballintoy Harbour and The Dark Hedges
